Why the name Applied Punk?
“Applied” comes from applied microeconomics, where I learned to begin with a concrete question and ask what evidence could answer it. “Punk” comes from Mreston Punk, my childhood nickname. The name fits what I want the writing to be: economically serious, curious about strange questions, and willing to have a little fun.
